La Esca is a unique hydraulic structure with one of the world’s highest earth dams with a reinforced concrete shield (it   reaches a height of 220 meters). The plant is the top level of the hydropower cascade on the Rio Grande de Santiago river on the border of the states of Jalisco and Nayarit. The main power equipment for the two of the previously constructed HPPs of this cascade - 975 MW Aguamilpa and 750 MW El Cajon - was also supplied by Power Machines (they installed the same hydrogenerators at  El Cajon).

The team of one of the Russian biggest aircraft plants the public corporation “Corporation Irkut” became the winner in the team event at the international forum “Engineers of the Future-2012”. The rally of young engineers took place on the shore of Lake Baikal where young specialists introduced projects on Russian industry development. In her interview to the “VIGIL” journal the principal engineer on organization and work measurement of Irkutsk aircraft branch of the pc “Corporation Irkut”, deputy chairman of the Council of the Youth Antonida Druzhinina spoke about forum benefits.

This year the Russian Engineering Union is celebrating its first jubilee. Within five years the organization not only united the leading companies of the country, but became a powerful driving force. The important step was made last year, when a new political trend connected with participation in All-Russia People’s Front arose.
